Heard Natural Science Museum & Wildlife Sanctuary offers exciting, outdoor field experiences for your next school or group field trip in a local, inexpensive and highly-respected venue. Our field trips will expose students to the outdoors and create an awareness, excitement and appreciation for local plants, animals, and ecosystems.

Programs include interactive hikes and hands-on nature based activities that are correlated with TEKS core curriculum standards. The Heard offers a variety of fun, educational activities, demonstrations and tours. Established in 1967, the Heard is a private, nonprofit organization dedicated to bringing nature and people together.

Field trips, education programs, labs, etc. are special fee programs not included in the free general admission you receive as a member. You will be required to pay the full program fee for your child and for yourself if you are chaperoning. For more membership FAQs, please click here.
